De Passerel, with it Bulgarian partners BALIZ and ISCC, is implementing several projects in Bulgaria in the field of the provision of social services to people with intellectual disabilities. This since 2004. De Passerel runs two main Matra-project funded by the Dutch Government and several projects funded by de Passerel and her partners. De Passerel is working on local level with NGO's and Municipalities in Pazardjik, Lovech, Blagoevgrad, Pernik, Varna, Sopot, Sevlievo and Razlog. On National level there are intensive contacts with the MLSP, ASA, SCAP and Unicef.

De Passerel is a Dutch care provider for intellectually disabled people that services the area of the Oost-Veluwe. Established in 2000 after a merger of a number of service providers, the first one dating from 1963, it now offers a full programme of care in the entire region in both special facilities as well as on an ambulant basis such as at homes, the workplace or in child day-care centres.
